I think if I ever met J.K. Rowling I may not be able to utter a single word. She is the reason that I love to read so much and I will never forget that. There might come a time where I read a particular series and it might outshine Harry Potter in many aspects, but Harry Potter will always be one of my favorites, if not the best book I have ever read. I owe so much to this women and I am not afraid to say it.

Matthew Lewis, who plays who plays Neville, has undergone a bigger physical transformation than any other person who works in those films to the point that, when I went to the read through of Half Blood Prince, we were all sitting in this great square and they put all the tables from the Great Hall into this big square so everyone’s facing inwards for the read through. And facing me were Dan, and Rupert, and Emma, and Evanna, and Bonnie, and the main lot. And there’s this really big cool guy sitting there, with a bit of stubble and wearing this woolen hat, and a leather jacket, and I didn’t recognize him, and my eyes pass on, and I sort of thought, ‘That will be the guy they’ve got playing McLaggen’. And then I thought, ‘Where’s Matthew?’ and I looked at him and my god, when did that happen? -JK ROWLING
Jo: I was having a girlie chat with Emma in her dressing room for about 3 or 4 years ago. And she said to me, ‘I think I’m gonna end up having to kiss Rupert, aren’t I?’ And I said, ‘well if I write it the way I’m planning to write it, you’ll end up having to kiss both of them (Rupert and Daniel)’. And she was mortified and rolled off the sofa laughing.
Emma: I was only 14! And the idea was absolutely horrific to me.
Jo: I made her do it, as you.. Oh! If you hadn’t read the books.

Jo Rowling: “The thing is with Goblet, the things that we lost were not necessary to the plot. I know there are things in both Goblet and Phoenix - I’m gonna defend all of the other books to the hilt, but in both Goblet and Phoenix, there was stuff to lose. I know it…”

> “Poverty entails fear and stress and sometimes depression. It meets a thousand petty humiliations and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own efforts that is something on which to pride yourself but poverty itself is romanticised by fools.”
