Friends in Boston: Stay inside and stay safe!
There is a public service advisory for these towns: Watertown, Newton, Cambridge, Allston, Brighton, Belmont, Brookline and Waltham. If you live in or around any of these areas STAY INSIDE. Do not open your doors for anyone who doesn’t PROPERLY identify themselves as Boston PD. The suspect from Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings is thought to be on the loose in the area.
Several “suspicious packages” have been found around the area and Boston PD has been working for hours to contain the devices.
As of right now, Boston is in lockdown. A majority of Schools and businesses are closed including:
- MIT, Harvard, Boston University, Boston College, Emerson, and many more.
MBTA has been suspended and officials are restricting motor vehicle and foot traffic.
- Boston Globe’s Twitter.
- Closings in Boston.
- AP’s Twitter.
- Wanted poster.
- Boston Police Scanner #1.
- Boston Police Scanner #2.
Stay safe! X Amanda

If you live in North Texas (THAT’S YOU MY DALLAS PEOPLE), you are being advised to STAY INSIDE tonight and close your windows. Strong northern winds are blowing right now in Texas, and there are public safety concerns for fumes from the fertilizer plant. There is no knowledge about the exact quality of the air, but there is the possibility that hazardous chemicals are present.
If you’re reading this and you have family friends etc. in the city of West, Texas and are trying to get in touch with them the Hillcrest hospital has set up a hotline to help the number is 254-202-1100
Security, safety, comfort
If you don’t feel these things in your BDSM relationship then something’s wrong.

I don’t know these people nor do I live in this area of Florida, but to my followers that do, please spread the word about and reblog this. I am never one to ignore an AMBER Alert and I hope you aren’t, either.
New to Tumblr and learning my way around. In the meantime, want to send a quick hello to all the Kaidan/Mass Effect fans out there. Just to make it official, yes, I was the face model for KA. :) I’ve been humbled by the experience to learn of the fan base out there that I didn’t know even existed until a few months ago. Thank you for the kind messages.
Btw, wondering if you guys could do me a big favor. Since some of you have enjoyed sharing a few of my very personal photos (without my consent *wink*), it would be awesome if you could return the favor. I operate a social outings and networking club that serves the needs of the LGBTQ community based in Los Angeles and need your help spreading the word. Although we’re located in LA, we do welcome non-residents. We are looking to expand regionally (and hopefully someday nationally) so when you have a moment, please LIKE our fan page at Facebook.com/socalsocialclub.
And if you are 21 and over, live or often travel to the Southern California area and identify with the LGBTQ community, please register as a member and create a profile on our website so you may join us at future events. We host a variety of monthly functions such as networking mixers, outdoor activities and community service. Go to www.socalsocialclub.com to sign up. It’s free!
Thank you again. I hope to hear from you guys soon. Feel free to follow me. I’ll be posting new photos soon.
P.S. Raphael Sbarge and I may soon be meting over coffee to officially meet!

My name is Brandon Stanton and I’m a photographer in New York City. As many of you already know, several months ago I was approached by the fashion label DKNY, who offered me $15,000 to purchase 300 of my photographs. I politely refused the offer. But earlier this week, one of my fans discovered that DKNY was using my photographs anyway— in Asia. (Full Story:http://thebea.st/13ijYt6)
As atonement for this infringement, I publicly requested that DKNY donate $100,000 in my name to the YMCA in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, so that underprivileged children could attend summer camp. DKNY responded on Monday with a $25,000 donation.
Over the next three days, my audience stepped in and raised the full $100,000 themselves. Over 3,000 people chipped in, and raised an astonishing $103,710 in 72 hours. (http://bit.ly/YTy4h3)
I have no interest in vilifying DKNY. It is a company composed of thousands of good people. The founder, Donna Karan, is highly respected around the world for both her creativity and philanthropy.
But I would appreciate if you would REBLOG this post, and lend your voice to my request that DKNY raise their donation to match the $103,710 that we raised.
Together, we could create a $208,000 investment in the lives of children in one of New York’s most vital and diverse neighborhoods. Thank you so much.
Introducing Snap Angel, the world’s first cloud based, personal safety application.
Snap Angel is a mobile application that allows you to upload images and texts to the cloud whenever you find yourself in a situation where you feel your safety might be compromised. Snap Angel will keep these images and texts safe and secure, and record the location where they were taken, giving you the peace of mind of knowing that someone else knows where you are and who you are with.
Snap Angel is quick and easy to use. After taking a picture or sending a text with Snap Angel, it is instantly transmitted to cloud servers without requiring you to select names and phone numbers from your address book. Open the app. Take the picture. It’s sent to Snap Angel, automatically. The evidence is in the cloud, off your phone, where you need it.
Snap Angel could save lives. Don’t be embarrassed to protect yourself. You have the right to enhance your personal safety.
Guys, this is a big deal.
This app could genuinely save your life.
The person who developed this app is the husband of my doctor. It was just released, and she asked if, since I know my way around the Internet, I could help spread the word. I, of course, said yes. Now I need your help to get this going around.
Just for some background information, the guy who developed this got the idea after watching some specials on missing persons cases. He kept hearing about these cases where college students or young women or what have you were abducted or went missing or were killed because no one knew their whereabouts, and he couldn’t stop thinking that he should do something about it. So he got the idea for this app. That was a few years ago, and after ages of development, now it’s finally complete and on the market.
The above explains pretty much how it works. Just open the app, snap a picture (or, if you’d prefer, record something in text - a license plate number, a landmark, whatever), and that’s it. It doesn’t keep it on your phone, it doesn’t auto-send it to anyone (so you don’t have to worry about false alarms), and literally no one can access it. What does it do? It uploads it (and backs it up securely) to the Cloud. And keeps it there. This information will stay there and be inaccessible unless something happens to you. And if it does, a police/court order is what can allow that data to be released. When that happens, whatever picture you took or text you wrote will be available to the police, along with the location it was taken or made at. You’ve just given yourself a huge chance to actually be found and helped, just by clicking two buttons.
There is no reason not to get this app. It costs a measly $1.99 and it could save you or anyone you know. Just take a look at the FAQ.
The app is available for iPhone and could add an Android version if enough people ask for it. Please, please, share this information and spread the word!
Whoa, seriously a big deal.
This needs to have way more notes.
To refresh memories - this is the Florida woman who was prosecuted for shooting into the ceiling to try to protect herself from an abusive ex. She was not allowed to use Stand Your ground, because we all know by now that law is only for white (or white passing) men to get away with killing people of color.
In other words, sign the motherfucker, ok?
Because shooting into the ceiling in self-defense while you’re in fear for your life means you deserve 20 years in prison.
Wait…no. NO. This isn’t right. Let’s help her, everyone. Seriously. Sign the petition. It’s not right that she be punished for trying to protect herself (and at the ceiling! as a warning shot!) while her husband (who admitted to being abusive, by the way) was threatening her life.
SIGN THIS FUCKING PETITION OKAY?!?!
I’ve been watching the petition’s progress and it’s pretty dismal. So I’ll be reblogging again and again in order to get the word out. Please help signal boost. I don’t think any of us wants to see someone defending herself against a real, immediate threat to her life go to jail for firing a warning shot at the ceiling.
I mean for fuck’s sake the NRA boys are foaming at the mouth about their right to have their guns but a woman uses a gun to shoot at the ceiling to protect herself? Nooo, she has to go to prison for two decades!
Please. Sign the petition. Signal boost and tell your followers to sign it too. Let’s get this number way, way, way up.
Whoever compiled this is a beautiful human being. <3
I’m so happy someone finally did this.
holy shit the number for canada is near where i live
I don’t care what kind of blog you have, you better reblog this.
2nd time reblogging this. you better reblog this.
That means free access to Photoshop CS2 - and that already has most of what you could ask for, really.
All you have to do is create a FREE ADOBE ID.
I am not sure about commercial use, but MAN. FUCKIN’ SWEET DUDE
Reblogging for the greater good.
I’m unlikely to pick it up as I honestly never use PS anymore, but here everyone who follows me. Free stuff.
oh wow this is perfect i was just lamenting that i’d have to buy creative suite for my new laptop WELP
Signal boost for any of my followers who need art programs!
The cs2 programs date back only a few years, and still have much of the functionality of today’s more modern ones. The differences between most of the versions are little more than slight modifications or additions of minor features, and UI changes. Go for it guys!!
Also, in case the page is down, here are the download links + serials.

In light of the cancellation of Misha’s Stonehenge Christmas event, many of us fans who were excited about the livestream have decided to do a collective viewing of Stonehenge Apocalypse on December 20th. Due to the overwhelming amount of negativity that Misha received over this event, we think it’s especially important to show him that we truly appreciate him going out of his way to try to do something awesome for us.
If you had registered for the livestream, I encourage you to take your refunded money and purchase Stonehenge Apocalypse on DVD ($3, guys) so that you can watch along with us. I also encourage you, if you had selected one of the pricier registration options, to donate that extra money to Misha’s charity, TheRandomAct.org. Stonehenge Christmas was going to be a very expensive event for Misha to put on, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out a lot of money for cancelling it on such late notice. It’d be great to give a little back to Random Acts.
The goal of this mass viewing is that we will all start the film at 10PM EST (when Misha’s livestream was supposed to start) and livetweet it to him throughout the film. We’ll tag everything with #AVSXMAS. We’ll also send him supportive tweets thanking him for being such a wonderful, caring person towards his fans, and for doing so many awesome things for us that we, honestly, probably tend to take for granted. We are lucky to be fans of someone as lovely as Misha. Let’s let him know that we appreciate him.
Misha was really excited about this event, guys. I can’t imagine how disappointed he is right now. I’m disappointed too. So whether or not you were planning to go to the original livestream or not, join us in showing Misha that we appreciate all the efforts he makes to be good to his fans. Get a bunch of friends together. Watch Stonehenge Apocalypse with us on December 20th. Donate your refunded money to Random Acts. And let Misha know that we care.
