ATTENTION WHOVIANS OF TUMBLR
Doctor Who is nearing it’s 50th Anniversary and I’ve noticed that the majority of Doctor Who posts on here are about Doctors 9, 10 and 11. Although they are all brilliant in their own right, Doctors 1-8 have been ignored by the vast majority of the fandom.
I propose that, as the 50th Anniversary is approaching, they should be well represented on Tumblr.
“Operation: Doctor Who” is where Whovians on Tumblr make an effort to find out more about the “Classic” Doctors, and post them as much as the “New” ones. A simple Google search can bring up the looks of each Doctor and names of the Actors. You can buy Classic Who DVDs from Amazon and watch clips on YouTube.
Of course taking part in “Operation: Doctor Who” is completely optional, but it’d be really great to see these Doctors get the acceptance that they deserve on Tumblr.
So next time you want to make a photoset with a quote about the Doctor, or the leaving of his companions, think about the older Doctors and companions, because they are as significant as the New ones and are all confirmed canon.
